Which moments go viral
- Bold takes: the statement half your listeners would disagree with.
- Numbers & facts: concrete sums, percentages, before/after.
- Emotion & conflict: the moment the voice cracks or two opinions collide.
- Stories with a payoff: a 30–60 second story arc with a punchline.
- Practical value: the one tip someone can apply immediately.
The anatomy of a strong podcast clip
The first 1–2 seconds decide: text hook on the frame ("He lost $100,000 with one email"), then straight into the strongest sentence — never start with context. Captions always on (sound-off users!), hard cuts every 2–4 seconds, end on the peak instead of a fade-out. Tools: CapCut is enough; the feel for the moment matters more than the tool.
The limit of DIY
Clipping yourself works — for one channel. Two clips per episode, posted three times a week, reach your existing audience. Growth comes from test volume though: the same episode in fifty variants across hundreds of warmed-up accounts. That's where manual work ends and the network begins.
